The Chartered College of Teaching has commented on the announcement by Ofqual that it will “switch to centre assessment grades” for A-Levels and for the upcoming GCSE results.
Professor Dame Alison Peacock, Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching, said:
“We are pleased that teachers have finally been listened to and that students will no longer need to rely on Ofqual’s flawed algorithm. This whole debacle has been extremely stressful for all students and teachers involved and may have been avoided entirely had the profession been trusted more fully in the first place.”
