Chartered College of Teaching and Teacher Development Trust launch new CPD partnership to support leadership of teacher development

A new partnership between the Chartered College of Teaching and Teacher Development Trust will support individuals to become local and national champions of leading teacher development.

The Associate Qualification in CPD Leadership from the Teacher Development Trust includes critical engagement with research, peer review and an in-school project to evaluate and refine the leadership, culture and process of CPD within participants’ schools.

By completing the eight-month programme, participants can gain Recognition of Prior Certified Learning (RPCL). This will give 20 credits towards Chartered Status and exemption from the Development of Teaching Practice Award on the Chartered Teacher (Leadership) pathway.

We are really pleased to be strengthening our partnership with the Teacher Development Trust, who have a stellar track record in providing high-quality, evidence-informed CPD to schools and colleges. This new phase of partnership provides recognition for those already leading on CPD in their settings, in the form of credits towards Chartered Status. We look forward to working with TDT with the shared goal of providing purposeful, personalised CPD opportunities to school leaders, to the benefit of children and young people.
