The UCL Centre for Holocaust Education is the world’s leading institution for research-informed teacher and student education. Their pioneering MA Module, The Holocaust in the Curriculum, is an engaging 10-week online course which provides teachers with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the study of key issues and debates that exist in and around Holocaust education. The module is research-informed and evidence-based, and duly equips teachers with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the field, which can in turn enhance their practice.
The module culminates in a 5,000 word written assignment, which provides teachers with the opportunity to explore curriculum aims and implementation, and to demonstrate their learning. Teachers who successfully pass the module are awarded 30 Master’s credits. Colleagues who complete the module will also be offered 10 credits towards Chartered Status – and exemption from the written examination element of the Professional Knowledge Award on the Chartered Teacher Status pathway.
