Scaffolding & Pupil Independence – Paula Bosanquet

This is a Teaching Assistant Twilight Forum, hosted by the University of Cambridge Primary School Network.
Paula is the lead on Maximising the Practice of Teaching Assistants (MPTA) professional development strand at UCL Institute of Education. She has researched and carried out extensive training and development work with schools, school clusters and local authorities in the area of maximising the practice of Teaching Assistants and pupil independence.
On the 21st March, Paula will share the MPTA scaffolding framework with Teaching Assistants, Teachers and Senior Leaders. This framework is designed to help TAs scaffold pupil’s learning and encourage independent learning.
