Improving primary writing with comparative judgement
March 27 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This is an event hosted by the Oval Trust Network, a network of the Chartered College of Teaching.
In this session led by Daisy Christodoulou, we’ll look at how comparative judgement can be used to measure and improve primary writing. We will judge examples of pupils’ writing taken from across the range of the 500+ primaries who participate in our national project. We will then explore the writing in more depth and look at best practice and evidence-based strategies for improving writing.
This session is appropriate for anyone with an interest in improving primary writing. If you have never used comparative judgement before, don’t worry – you’ll have the chance to take part in some judging and grasp the basics of how it works.
