WHAT IS ADVOCACY AND WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?

Being an advocate involves sharing your experiences as a member to help colleagues across the profession looking to engage with research and the latest insight to improve classroom practice. Advocacy means promoting and publicly supporting the Chartered College of Teaching through your local networks

6 WAYS TO BE AN ADVOCATE:

01.

Tell friends, student teachers and colleagues in your school about the Chartered College membership and Chartered Teacher programme.

02.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter, engage with our posts and share with your colleagues. Write a Google or Facebook review too.

03.

Set up Chartered College Research Boards in your school. This could include posters, flyers, application forms and research articles.

04.

Put out articles or flyers at staff meetings, in pigeon holes, conferences and INSETs.

05.

Present a 3-slide presentation at staff briefings or any local meetings or conferences you’re going to.

06.

Hold stands at your school conferences (we can give you marketing materials to support)!
