The Chartered College of Teaching announce a new partnership to provide professional learning opportunities to supply teaching staff

Teaching Personnel Ltd, a leading education recruitment agency, and the Chartered College of Teaching, the professional body for teachers and teaching assistants, today announce their partnership. An initial pilot cohort of 50 supply teaching staff will be enrolled on the Certificate in Evidence-Informed Practice, where they will receive formal recognition upon successful completion, in addition to 10 points towards Chartered Status. Supply teaching staff will also be provided with additional opportunities to further their professional learning and development through Chartered College membership, joining a professional learning community of over 45,000 members.

This new partnership seeks to establish future opportunities for collaboration on projects and continued contribution and support for each other’s programmes and services, in addition to the shared mission to improve the quality of education for children and young people.

Jonny Goggs, Head of Partnerships at the Chartered College of Teaching, said:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Teaching Personnel, who are committed to providing high-quality professional learning to the teachers and support staff they work with. We know that the flexible workforce plays a crucial role in the system, and it is vitally important that all teaching professionals are given the opportunity to develop and supported to work in an evidence-informed way for the benefit of their pupils. This new partnership has been formed out of our shared commitment to this.”
