NEW CASE STUDIES TO SUPPORT FLEXIBLE WORKING PRACTICE
A range of organisations across the education profession – including the Chartered College of Teaching – are coming together to support schools with their flexible working practices.
Schools across the country have created free case studies which look at the flexible working practices they have adopted, how they work and how they have benefited their work. This continues the Chartered College’s drive to encourage collegiality and collaboration across the profession.
The work follows the first Flexible Working in Schools Summit which took place in 2017 and brought together organisations from across education and business to support flexible working.
Vivienne Porritt, National Leader of WomenEd and Vice President (internal) of the Chartered College said:
“#WomenEd are delighted to fulfil one of our flexible working pledges made last year at a summit organised by the The Department for Education.
Our members, whether teachers or leaders, want to talk to other schools about the benefits of flexible working. Working in partnership with the Chartered College of Teaching, ASCL, NAHT, NGA, Flexible Teacher Talent, Edval and LKMco means we will coordinate short, succinct case studies to connect schools to support them to retain talented women teachers and leaders in our profession.”
Partners currently working to deliver these new case studies include:
WomenEd
ASCL
NAHT
NGA
LKMCo
FLexible Teacher Talent
Edval
A flexible working event, hosted by #WomenEd, Tes, LKMco, Flexible Teacher Talent and EdVal will highlight the challenges and opportunities that come with flexible working and discuss the new case studies.
