APPLICATIONS OPEN TO JOIN NEW EARLY CAREER ONLINE PILOT
Applications are now open to join a new online pilot to support early career teachers.
The pilot, funded by Education Endowment Foundation, is seeking 20 schools to join, covering a range of locations, school types, subject areas and phases.
This new, year-long, fully-online training pilot is centred around an instructional coaching model. A coach will work collaboratively with their early career teacher and guide them through cycles of deliberate practice of specific teaching skills. The coach will observe the teacher’s practice, followed by a structured reflective conversation to deepen their understanding. To guide this coaching, ECTs and their mentors will have access to a range of resources in a structured online course. Live webinars will supplement individual study, and participants will be allocated to groups for peer activities, feedback and discussion facilitated by a course tutor.
If you are interested in being a part of this pilot then please complete and return this form no later than 28 April 2019.
Please see this document for more information about the programme and its evaluation by the UCL Institute of Education.
We will contact you to let you know whether you have been selected to be part of this pilot.
